AC Milan have held talks with Fabio Paritici over the vacant sporting director position, according to a report.
Milan have already changed coaches twice in the past few months, replacing Stefano Pioli with Paulo Fonseca who was then sacked in December and replaced by Sergio Conceição. However, further big changes could come in the summer.
The Rossoneri have been officially without a sporting director since December 11 after the dismissal of Antonio D’Ottavio, who was a figure that was more in the background anyway given how little he faced the media.
He left the club due to what was widely reported to be friction with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Jovan Kirovski on the construction of Milan Futuro, and since then there has been speculation regarding a replacement.
According to Footmercato, the Rossoneri leadership are in talks with Fabio Paratici, the former sporting director of Juventus and Tottenham. He was then suspended by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) amid the plusvalenza scandal, which led him to resign from his post at Spurs.
Some high-profile names arrived at Juventus under Paratici’s tenure such as Paul Pogba, Carlos Tevez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Federico Chiesa and Paulo Dybala. However, it must be said that their best business came when he worked alongside Beppe Marotta, now at Inter.
Bring back Maldini please
Paritici > Maldini
Why?
For sentimental value, duh… need a cheerleader on the sidelines. Give him some Pom-Poms too.
Maldini was a technical director not a sporting director. Ricky Massara was Milan sporting director. I love Maldini and I appreciate him as a coach a player but Milan need an experienced sporting director who knows how to build a winning team.
No more past players who have no experience as a sporting director.
Not some juve scum…
Bringing back Maldini and Mascara will do
Current management is useless, you have to demote mocconda.
And AC Milan has either bad data scientist or data itself.
Get help from Maldini. He will talk sense into you guys
Avoid anyone or anything to do with Spurs. They are, and always have been, the laughing stock of London. Too much influence from the “four foot twos”.
Top in juve, flop in Spurs ,will be average in milan
I think we all know Maldini’s best chance of coming back is when RedBird sells the club in a few years’ time to likely an Arab outfit. Excited to have him back when the time is right, it’s not with this management team.
In the meantime, happy to have Paratici, a certain upgrade. It’s not like Marotta hasn’t worked wonders for Inter.
