CM: Leao, Rebic, Giroud, Calabria and more – latest updates on Milan’s injury situation

After crashing out of the Champions League, AC Milan’s next challenge will be against Udinese at the Dacia Arena on Saturday night, and Stefano Pioli will once again field a highly reworked team.

According to Calciomercato.com, there is a chance that two of the currently injured players could return before the end of 2021, namely either for the game on Sunday 19 December against Napoli or three days later in Empoli.

Milan will not take risks but playing Zlatan Ibrahimovic four times in two weeks is a risk in itself. The hope is that Milan will have Olivier Giroud back – who has been out since 25 November – as well as Rafael Leao. There is no chance of seeing Pellegri or Rebic back for either, with both set to return in January.

Samu Castillejo has been out since 24 October when he injured his flexors during the game against Bologna and he could come back soon, while Davide Calabria injured his calf on 12 November during international duty, with no exact return date listed for him either.
