There continues to be talk about AC Milan signing another striker in addition to Victor Boniface, and Conrad Harder is apparently a target.

The big news of the last 24 hours is that Milan and Bayer Leverkusen have agreed a deal for Boniface. The basis of the operation is a loan costing €5m, with on option to buy that is not mandatory in any way, and a buy-out figure set at €24m.

Harder as well?

Despite this, there has been some talk in the media that Boniface may not be the only striker to arrive. Dusan Vlahovic has been mentioned as a late possibility, but it would raise questions over Santiago Gimenez.

Now, some interesting news has come directly from Portugal regarding Milan’s interest in Conrad Harder. According to Record (via PianetaMilan), the Rossoneri are indeed keen on the Dane, and they are expected to present an offer soon to acquire him.

Rennes have already made a second offer for Harder, but it was rejected just like the first. Both offers were reportedly lower than the €20m Sporting CP are asking for from the start. Milan are apparently aware that the asking price of the Lisbon club has not been met yet.

  1. Harder can be a potential jackpot . I would take him now before he “explodes”. Next summer he can be a target for rich clubs .

    1. He cannot explode if he is not playing regularly. Who does he take the minutes from?

This seems more like a speculative move to flip him on a loan.

  2. He is looking for a club where he would play. Being a 3rd option at Milan means even less time than what he is getting at Sporting.

      1. Don’t think so, Gimenez stay here definitely this season. More possible is we sell Chuk and buy another winger

  3. If they feel he’s a worthy investment, then I’d be in favor. But I really don’t know much about him. At all really.

And I don’t think Gimenez should be leaving.

    1. I don’t think Gimenez would leave. I think it’s just an opportunity if it arises to get Harder. Might not be comparable but Napoli did have 3 strikers when they won the league and it was only Serie A and Coppa Italia they played in like we will do.. So having an opportunity arise, is something you think about especially if it falls your way.. I take it as Okafors’ replacement.

      1. That’s a fair statement. I mean we did lose Okafor and may even lose Chukwueze too. Though I don’t know if Harder is exactly a winger… a center forward? I suppose we did change our system for two forwards.

        1. Don’t know about him either but suggestions seem to indicate he can do both and yes I guess some games we will play with 2 forwards

    2. You should check out his videos on YouTube.. I think he’s a bulk Haaland with more drive and skills. If he continues in that trajectory, we will be getting our hands on a very good striker now and in the future.

  4. Boniface deal doesn’t make sense in addition to an unproven striker that’s a “project”.

Boniface deal only make sense if you’re using the funds on a more proven target.

  5. I dont think signing him means Gimenez out, I think it means we’re leaning back to using 2 up top, in which case we just sold our only backup in Okafor, so we definitely need another

  6. Conrad Harder can play as a winger and a striker. So it makes sense why Milan is interested in signing him as a backup to Leao and a replacement for Okafor.

  7. Conrad Harder aint that good, yeah he is 20 and can become better but I dont think he can deliver in Milan, the goals he is scoring in Portugal, he will no be able to in Italy. Better goal keepers and better Defenders will not give him any space. Plus he is a left foot robot like chukweze, his right foot is like a 5year old.
Højlund is 22 and in my point of view he would be a better option if they have to go with one of the Danish guys.
But I think none of them will arrive and we should aim for something better.

  8. An injury plagued but potentially still good striker and another young could be.

You do remember a certain young could be, that we could use playing a 2 up front system but rather decided to ship him out. And he was completely free too. I see many already forgot about Camarda. Is it cause he’s Italian?

  9. Boniface still have to more medical tests. Milan still in doubtful about his healthy. So maybe Conrad still on Milan radar if Boniface failed the medical

  10. Last update from Moretto:

“Yesterday, Friday, August 22nd, Boniface arrived in Milan at 3:00 PM. He went to the La Madonnina clinic where he underwent a series of medical tests. He then underwent a sports fitness test and then some orthopedic examinations. The whole process concluded around 10:00 PM on Friday, August 22nd. Despite this process, AC Milan has not yet decided whether to proceed or not. There are doubts about Boniface’s physical condition and his consistency in performance.

AC Milan wants to see clearly, wants to further investigate the situation, and today, Saturday, August 23rd, they will have Boniface undergo further, even more in-depth tests before deciding whether or not to proceed. However, this first round of medical tests, which lasted from 3:45 PM on Friday, August 22nd until 9/10 PM, certainly did not provide the guarantees AC Milan expected. We’ll see if there are any positive developments today and if a contract can be signed. I reiterate that this is a matter strictly linked to passing the medical tests: today, Saturday 23 August, is an absolutely key day.”
