AC Milan could end the mercato with another midfielder, yet with talks ‘intensifying’ with Adrien Rabiot and his entourage.
It has been a summer of midfield change for Milan, and as the clock ticks towards its ending, the club could see yet another departmental change. There remains a lot to be done, but things can progress quickly.

This morning, Gazzetta dello Sport stated that things had ‘opened’ for the Frenchman, after new contact with his mother.

Now, Gianluca Di Marzio (via Milan Posts on X) states that talks are ‘intensifying’ as the Rossoneri study the feasibility of a deal. Though things are complicated from a financial standpoint.
Marseille are demanding €15 million, whilst the player would also see a high salary, and then there are intermediary costs to consider as well. Of course, this is solvable, but this is why the delay is taking place currently.
Considering Gazzetta reported that a move for Musah could unlock something for Rabiot, and Allegri’s feelings – and extensive requests – regarding the Frenchman, perhaps the wheels are now turning to get something done. We shall have to see.
It seems, at least for now, if Musah is going to go, it’ll be to let Rabiot arrive, so these talks are crucial.
Whilst Matteo Moretto provided an update, which has been relayed by Milan Eye.
“Talks are still ongoing between Milan and Rabiot’s entourage. Milan are trying to see if the situation can be unlocked. Rabiot will always be an option for Milan till the end of the window as long as Milan have the possibility. For Allegri, he is a key addition.”
Get it done or don’t. We’re running out of time. Personally I don’t see the need for another midfielder, and think we need to sign someone for LB and CB… but that’s just me.
Milan doesn’t play with full backs in the traditional sense anymore. He is using wingbacks and the emphasis of being a wingback is to attack and not be focused as much on defending.
This team does not need a LB, they need another CB. But I think another technical midfielder is good to have especially after Jashari went down and Musha can go then with there being fund to get another CB.
Formations can change. The 3-5-2 isn’t a good one and should be changed back.
I think Allegri going to change as well that way it would explain Nkuku signing and the fact that Tare spoke yesterday stating himself that the formation is hurting the team as well. I expect a chance of formation against Bologna.
How would Tare know ? He is a sales manager.

Turned out even Allegri is a bit confused by the squadbuilding. Theres no cohesion. Nkunku at his best is a good player but seems the coach didn’t want him or doesn’t know where to utilise him
Ultimately its another deja vu season, just player trading for profits not for winning.
May aswell cut the deadwood sell musah/bennacer/adli and bring in Rabiot.
Hopefully thats enough in midfield and maybe Athekame/Tomori/KDW can cover RB if we switch to a back 4.
To clarify, I’ll support whoever comes in the last few days. I also think while Rabiot is a technical and a really good player, his attitude is not.
If we sign him, I’ll back him. But I have my reservations.
And also, I really am not a fan of 3-5-2. At the very least it should be 3-4-3. This team doesn’t have the components to play 3-5-2.
I’ve read we’re going to get Dovbyk on loan with option to buy and Dovbyk has already given his approval for a move, and Akanji is still on the table.
Dovbyk is not exactly a consistent player, but he does have a goalscoring record nonetheless.
If they can’t come to an agreement with Rabiot, I’d go get Lorenzo Pellegrini from Roma.
Complete midfielder who can create for himself and others, goal threat from open play and set piece, runs a lot and he can be signed for a very low fee since he only has 1 year left and won’t renew. He doesn’t seem part of their project anymore.
He didn’t have a good season last year, hampered by injuries and Roma being a mess, but if he is fit he is a very good player.
I think he is still injured. Might be an issue for the medical so I doubt it can happen.
He is on the bench in their game vs Pisa.

I think they are much stronger than last year. De Bruyne, Noa Lang, Bekuema, Gutierez, Lucca, VMS, Marianucci, all new signings. From what I know sold only Raspadori from 1st team rotation. And Osimhen but he wasn’t there anyway.
And Hojlund also, forgot about him. They now have backups for backups. But also play CL so they need it.
Pr next year grab him for free his contract is expiring soon

Leave rabiot alone. Don’t letting him take all the remaining time. Focus on getting in the remaining necessary position, so quick to let out but very adamant to bring in. Not being able to agree a contract with akanji ( the best transfer idea) is not acceptable
