GdS: Not only Scamacca – Milan and Inter set for market derby over Empoli defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Inter are in a tight race for the Scudetto on the field but they have also picked out a couple of the same transfer objectives away from the pitch, a report claims.

Gianluca Scamacca is not the only player currently followed by both Milan and Inter according to this morning’s edition of the newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), because a market derby is expected over Mattia Viti too.

The 19-year-old Empoli centre-back is being monitored by both the Rossoneri and the Nerazzurri who have been impressed with his first season in Serie A, with scouts from both clubs taking notes on his progress.

He has made 14 appearances in Serie A so far this season plus two in the Coppa Italia, and is a youth international for Italy having played at U15, U16, U18 and now U20 levels, showing that he has a bright future ahead of him.

  1. The management will buy this player and then after 3 months, realise he is not a good fit and then start looking for whom to sell to.

    Never ending brouhaha
