Reports: Escorts and laughing gas – Milan and Inter players linked to latest Serie A scandal

It seems that a scandal is never far away in Italian football, and now an investigation is ongoing into a network accused of exploiting prostitution.

Marca have provided a summary of what we know so far from various sources. The Guardia di Finanza were summoned amid allegations regarding high-level footballers – including Serie A players – related to prostitution, nightlife events and the use of ‘laughing gas’ as a recreational substance.

50 players involved

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, around 50 Serie A players – including some from Milan and Inter – were involved as customers. The Milan Court are investigating things at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and four people were placed under house arrest.

They were accused of facilitating prostitution by organising escort services plus money laundering. They also included ‘the possibility for wealthy clients, sportsmen and professional footballers to access sexual services, and the use of nitrous oxide as an exciting and recreational substance’.

The substance known as ‘laughing gas’ is a chemical compound with anaesthetic and analgesic properties that is also used as a recreational drug.

“Unfortunately, it is not a crime, it is not classified as such. The girls were totally compliant, so there is no violence; no indication of violence has emerged in the acts of the investigation,” the Guardia di Finanza stressed.

La Gazzetta dello Sport‘s wiretaps revealed that a Formula 1 driver also used the services of this network, asking: “I have a friend who is a Formula 1 driver and he wants a paid girlfriend. Can we find her?” The reply: “I’ll send him the Brazilian.”

The service offered was comprehensive: a dinner show at a luxury restaurant in Milan’s upper circles, followed by the option of continuing the evening in clubs or in a hotel room. “We’ll take them to Just,” the message reads, referring to Just Cavalli, a well-known Milanese nightlife venue, “or we’ll be at Me,” a hotel located in Piazza della Repubblica.

The meetings took place in these locations: the organisation was controlled by an agency based in Cinisello Balsamo, managed by the two main suspects, whose corporate name included organising events in trendy clubs in Milan and elsewhere.

All of this was advertised on Instagram, on the “Made_luxury_concierge” page, followed by numerous Serie A players. Trips were also organised, particularly to the Greek island of Mykonos.

  1. What do they mean with “unfortunately it’s not a crime”. If it’s not a crime, there is no issue, right. Why would a state agency or whatever the correct term is for Guardia di Finanza say something like that. Are they the Morale police? Famous young people with lots of money used escort services – wow, such a scandal.

    1. There is not a crime when it comes to the players involvement, there is a crime from the agency running the operation

    2. It’s a good story for news. But I agree with you that saying “unfortunately” is a really bad choice of words.

    1. Why did you write this stupid comment? 😀 Honest question. Grow up. Like some kid trying to be funny. They arranged all of the meetings after the games, so how did that influence anything? 😀

      1. “Italian media have named Riccardo Calafiori, Rafael Leao, Alessandro Bastoni, Dusan Vlahovic, Gianluca Scamacca and more as part of an investigation into the Serie A escort scandal.”

        That escalated pretty quickly… 😀 😀 😀 😀
