An interesting study has emerged showing which teams are performing best relative to the cost of their squad at present in Serie A.
Calcio e Finanza have compiled an investigation which is based on the salaries of the players indicated at the beginning of the season by La Gazzetta dello Sport, adjusting the gross wages based on those who benefit from the Growth Decree and those who don’t.
Lazio are currently the best among the ranking with a relatively low squad cost of around €50.6m and 30 points amassed in the first part of the season, meaning each point cost just under €1.7m.
Napoli are the story of the season so far and they spent €1.77m for each of the 41 points won on the field (with a squad cost of just over €72m in the first six months). Atalanta are also on the podium, with the cost per point being less than €1.9m, with a €51m total.
Just below the podium are Milan, who have currently invested just over €2m euros for each of the 33 points they have won in the league, with €68m spent so far across gross wages, depreciation and loan fees.
Inter and Juventus occupy the last two places in the ranking. The Bianconeri have spent over €4.6m for each point won in the league in these first six months of the season while Inter are at €3.5m for each of the 30 points obtained so far.

Indeed! He can’t even renew contracts (if we don’t count the dozen he has already done)!
Great result. Ammortisation is soon expiring for MANY players in the books such as, Tomori, Tonali, Krunic, Etc…
