FcInterNews: Milan and Inter priced out as Parma believe centre-back could be worth €70m

AC Milan’s pursuit of Giovanni Leoni remains very complicated, both because of the lack of a sale and because of Parma’s asking price.

According to what is being reported by FcInterNews, Parma are not willing to budge an inch on their valuation of Leoni, who is being pursued by Inter and Milan. They have made it clear that they want €40m and not a penny less, which is a huge amount for a player so young.

However, this asking price is driven by the amount of interest Leoni is attracting both within Italy and abroad. The Crociati recently rejected a proposal from Bournemouth that offered €25m plus €5m in bonuses, showing that the price tag is very much €30m+.

Another card in Parma’s favour is the imminent call-up to the national team by new coach Gennaro Gattuso, who has already sent out a sort of preliminary squad for the September international matches.

With the Azzurri showcase and the potential for another great season, the valuation is set to skyrocket to €70m if they are unable to hold onto him for one more year. This is exactly why Parma want to scare off the suitors now, unless they get an offer they cannot refuse.

    1. Liverpool interest and parma already put high price for one season CB 18 years old that labelled the next bastoni. Anyway with thiaw stay , no CB will coming because other CB like pavlo & tomori dont have buyer while thiaw keep reject buyer. Forget about new CB , just focus get full back

  1. What a joke my Milan turned to.. we sell Kerkez, Tonali, Simic, now Liberali and Camarda, to do what? Generate bullshit news on 18yo no name cost 70mil… same as Tonali few years ago.

    Madness

  2. Reminds me of the infamous Belotti-pricing by Torino back in the days. 100M€. And how much did they end up getting? Oh right, 0€. 😀 😀 😀

  3. 70M is too low for an Italian youngster who had 1 good season.
It should be 200M at the very least.
And once Italy fail to qualify to WC again, you can blame the poor italian clubs who can’t afford these italian talents.

  4. Whattt ?? 70m for player that only play 17 games last season ?? He’s not yet proven player. This is only the president club ambition, typically in Italian.

Remember the belotti hype at Torino?? 100m pricetag from the president. End up with loan and go to the lower club 🤣🤣

  5. I know we put Puli and Leao in a Swap deal plus 100 million to Parma that would maybe work
