Both AC Milan and Inter are keen on Samuele Ricci of Torino, yet he is not the first choice target for either club.
Ricci has been on Milan’s radar for years now, even dating back to his days with Empoli before he moved to Torino. It appeared that things were moving towards completion in view of this summer window, then everything went quiet.

On Tuesday, our colleague Alfredo Pedulla reported that the Ricci idea had been rekindled by Milan, who had doubts about the asking price for another of their targets in Granit Xhaka.
Milan and Inter eye Ricci
According to Tuttosport, there could be ‘a mercato derby for a plan B’. Milan tried for Ricci in the winter window and the paper confirms that he is still on their list, while Inter are also big admirers of the Italy international.
However, the Rossoneri’s primary target in midfield is Granit Xhaka, but Bayer Leverkusen do not seem to want to compromise on the asking price. For this reason, Tare is keeping the door open for the former Empoli player.
Torino value him at €35m plus bonuses to reach €40m, but during the transfer window he could drop to €30m. He is also the plan B for Inter in the event of Hakan Calhanoglu’s sale, but the Nerazzurri are behind in the race.
MilanPress report that there is actually already a verbal agreement in place between Milan and Torino over a deal worth €25m plus €5-7m in bonuses for Ricci.
Another pattern – chasing players they cannot afford while missing out on plan B as well.
Could it be that the plan for all 3, Jashari, Xhaka and Ricci, it maybe a case of completing the Musah deal and then the purchase options will unlock, why would they have 3 separate options open at the same time and be making official bids.
Bids have been reported for Xhaka and Jashiri and the differences in both cases is not that much and apparently we can close the Ricci deal in minutes, should wait for the certainty of Musah move to West Ham which will unlock all the operations
They are chasing Xhaka and playing waiting game over 2-3 million. They offered Brugge 27 million and wasting their own time. They know that neither Leverkusen nor Brugge play this lowball game with Milan and yet they don’t learn from their past mistakes. Always Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v
They didn’t lowball Brugge, they are negotiating. This isn’t a store with price tags, these are negotiations on people’s future and current value, a very subjective thing. Offering 27+ with reports indicating the bonus add up to 32M is a fair opening offer. If Brugge thinks he’s worth 40 a 20% difference in valuation isn’t huge. I couldn’t tell you if 40 or 30 is a fair price because I don’t watch the Belgium league. Do you? Have you watch Brugge regularly over the last two years? Are you saying you value Joshari at 50M and that’s why Milan’s offer is insulting? Or are you just s**t talking because it’s easier to hate than support?
