GdS: Milan and Inter both interested in signing Sassuolo duo worth €65m+

AC Milan and Inter will contest the Derby della Madonnina in the Coppa Italia tonight, but they also share some targets ahead of the summer mercato.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), Milan are monitoring the progress of Sassuolo Gianluca Scamacca and Davide Frattesi very closely and they are admirers of what the striker and midfielder have done under head coach Dionisi this season so far.

Giovanni Carnevali – the managing director of Sassuolo – knows that Inter have been after Scamacca for months, but clear signals have also arrived from Milan. When asked about the duo yesterday, he said: “To date we have not had any concrete requests. Will the two of them leave Sassuolo for €65m? It depends on how we divide them, but we are not satisfied. The valuation could be low.”

At the moment it is difficult to estimate the price of both especially given that it could rise in the last few months of the season, but what is certain is that Scamacca and Frattesi are of interest to other clubs as well as the Milanese teams.

Scamacca though wants to stay in Italy and has already rejected the offers of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig which is why Milan and Inter are in pole position, but Sassuolo will have to lower their demands.
