In recent seasons, AC Milan have made youth recruitment one of their biggest focuses and Tino Kusanovic could become the latest addition.

RedBird’s focus on signing young players has been a heavy talking point of recent years. Under Massimiliano Allegri, it has been scaled down slightly. Yet, Milan are still keen on signing these players for the future and the Futuro project shows this.

Considering they have already added Andrej Kostic ahead of the summer, you’d imagine that would be it in terms of forward recruitment. However, this is not the case.

Klose wants to protect gem

As Calciomercato.com reports, the Rossoneri and several others have been in contact with Nürnberg regarding their star talent, Kusanovic. Having scored 34 goals in 48 games for their second team, he is shining and a call-up to the first team is being explored.

That exploration is led by Miroslav Klose, a man who knows what it means to be a goalscorer, and the German is very keen to involve him in the team moving forwards. However, he may not get that chance.

The Croatian national is being scouted heavily, thanks to his record at club and country level – 21 goals in 27 games for Croatia’s Under-17 squad.

There may be a stalling point on any moves away from Germany, though. Nürnberg and Klose want to armour him and get him ready in case he does leave the club. Indeed, they want to polish him off now, allowing him to develop further, before considering any departures.

Considering Nürnberg are in the second tier too, they may also hope for promotion to help them demand a higher fee.

  1. How many Striker youngster we’re gonna bring ?? We have already signed Kostic for the upcoming summer for about 8 millions euros in addition to Alpha Jo Cissé a winger for the same outlet, I think we should save some money for a real reinforcement, beacause I want to remind the transfer of Lazetic 4 millions then he didn’t live up to our expectations.

    1. That is how you get top players when you don’t have money to compete. You buy 6 talents for an average of 5M and if one works out you did good.

    2. We’re so bad a picking strikers that the hope one of them turns out to be decent. We are already destroying Camardas career so why not try to destroy another few youngsters futures lol.

  2. So let me get this straight. Kid has an option to go into a first team in German 2nd league or go to Milan Futuro in Serie D? He isn’t stupid.
