Another source is reporting that AC Milan could try to get Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa from Napoli in the summer mercato.
Even though there are four games left in the season and Milan need six points to secure a Champions League spot, the transfer speculation never stops. There is talk of a potential ‘revolution’ in midfield in the summer, given that there is likely to be multiple exits as well as signings to replace them.

According to MilanNews, Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka and Sassuolo’s Ismael Koné aren’t the only players that the Milan directors are pursuing to strengthen Massimiliano Allegri’s midfield ahead of 2026-27.
According to their information – and following on from what Pietro Balzano Prota reported earlier in the week – the management are also considering Zambo Anguissa of Napoli as a possible reinforcement.
The Cameroonian has been a cornerstone of midfield under Luciano Spalletti and now under Antonio Conte. Yet, he has informed Napoli that he does not wish to renew his contract – which expires in 2027 – meaning he is set to leave this summer.
He is an experienced player and one Allegri ‘highly values ’, not only for his technical abilities but also his physicality. He has been in Italy since 2021 and has made 146 Serie A appearances for Napoli, scoring 13 goals and assisting 16, also starring in two Scudetto wins.

I’ll welcome him anytime. Good addition to the midfield…
Is he a 6, 8, or 10? I don’t know much about him. How would he fit in the pecking order relative to Jashari and Ricci? Some analysis would have been helpful.
He’s not a ten, that’s for sure LOL Something between 6 and 8 or 8 & 6 to be more precise.
He is, as many like to call “a modern midfielder”. I call that an NFL line-runner. All stamina and muscle, no creativity.
Very valid question.
If we don’t get a classic number 6, Zambo Anguissa can be perfect to be what Kessie was for us a number 8 who has the features of a number 6.
Would be perfectly welcomed. If he comes, I don’t see Modric staying because I can see Goretzka taking the regista, the middle (deep-lying position) flanked by Rabiot and maybe Anguissa. Both Anguissa and Goretzka can provide the necessary knowledge to cover up for not having a proper number 6, a destroyer.
I’d put him in a double pivot with Rabiot to support and disrupt …
If he’s turning down Napoli I highly doubt he plans to stay in Italy.
This.
Koné all day over him. More speed, as much stamina, better on the ball 1 v1, sees the play and moves the ball better than him, can also score, create magic on his own or through teammates. In a year, 2 most, when he finished rounding out his defensive development, adds a bit more muscle to his frame, he will be a far superior, better rounded player. We shouldn’t let him slip and go to another team. It will turn out to be a huge regret.
Been a fan of him since he’s loaned from Fulham. One of the most consistent midfielders in Serie A. A key figure in Napoli’s mid whoever the coach was. He could play a perfect role of no 6 for us. Different character than Modric obv, but he’ll be anchoring our mid just fine.
He could also be the perfect replacement if Fofana leaves. But if we really serious in getting Goretzka, I think he’ll be the one who’ll get that place. So, we should only pursue Anguissa in a condition that Modric leaves.
I haven’t seen Kone play, but is he a better option than Anguissa or Ederson or someone like that or simply younger?
What about getting b. silva of Man. City and B. Fernandez of Man. Utd
