Tuttosport: Milan assess alternative goalkeeper signing in January to Sportiello

AC Milan could sign a new goalkeeper on a six-month loan in January if they cannot get Atalanta to agree to an early departure of Marco Sportiello, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), AC Milan could enter the market for an emergency goalkeeper to cope with the fact that Mike Maignan is struggling to get back to fitness and confidence in him playing the rest of the season has been knocked.

The club know that another goalkeeper, preferably one to start ahead of Ciprian Tatarusanu, would be very beneficial. That is why the Rossoneri want to accelerate the signing of Marco Sportiello from Atalanta, but La Dea do not want to lose him until the end of the season.

That means Milan may sign someone else for six months on loan or a short-term contract, as they did with Asmir Begovic. No names have yet been mentioned as possible targets.
