ML: Milan likely to have discussed Joao Felix in meetings with Jorge Mendes

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could launch a move to sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid, according to a report, amid speculation that the forward could leave the LaLiga club.

According to a report from MilanLive, the relationship between Felix and his head coach Diego Simeone is not exactly idyllic. The former Benfica man struggled to establish himself, slipping further and further back in the hierarchies of the Argentine coach.

Felix has a contract until June 2026 and has collected just 818 minutes of playing time across all competitions so far this season. The 23-year-old has only netted three times in that span, and a farewell in January is increasingly becoming a possibility.

The report adds that top European clubs are talking to his agent Jorge Mendes, and they would be willing to let him go on a paid loan for around €8m.

Milan are very likely to have spoken with Mendes about Felix given that there are already discussions between the parties over Rafael Leao’s future. Felix could be on the list of replacements for Leao, but it is also possible that the two players could be united in the same squad.

    1. Regardless of whether this deal actually happens or not, if it is a loan, then we would probably only have to pay part of his salary, that is, until the move becomes permanent.
