Reports: Milan monitoring Dalot’s situation as Man Utd chase €18m right-back

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could launch an attempt to bring full-back Diogo Dalot back to the club after his loan deal in 2020-21, according to a report.

Calciomercato.it reference a report from Football Insider claiming that Manchester United have made first contacts with Norwich City over their young right-back Max Aarons, who is valued at around the €18m (£15m) mark.

If United were to get a deal for Aarons over the line it may well have repercussions on Diogo Dalot’s future, while the report adds that Milan, Juventus and Roma have recently been following the contractual developments of the Portuguese defender.

The parties have not yet reached an agreement over the renewal of Dalot’s contract which currently expires in June 2023, and there are a number of interested clubs which could undermine United’s last hopes of an extension.

A return to Italy could be an option but Barcelona and Real Madrid are also keen as per Calciomercato.it, and the two clubs that have already expressed their interest to the player’s entourage.

  1. It’s a relief that Dalot has such a price tag.
Maldini is not crazy to waste serious money for this player. Moncada can do better, for sure.

    1. The 18 mil price tag is for Max Aarons.
Diogo Dalot is out of contract at the end of the season , but I think that ManUtd has an option to unilaterally extend it for another year, like Chelsea did with Giroud
