CM.it: Milan or Juventus could offer €30m Inter flop ‘Gabigol’ another crack at Serie A

By Oliver Fisher -

Gabriel Barbosa could return to Serie A after his failure to make much of an impact at Inter with their rivals AC Milan and Juventus monitoring his progress, a report claims.

Calciomercato.it recalls how the Nerazzurri spent €30m to bring him across to Europe but he never hit the ground running and a return to South America followed. Flamengo put faith in him and he now has 103 goals in 164 games for them including 28 goals in 46 games in the Copa Libertadores (the South American equivalent of the Champions League).

The striker known as ‘Gabigol’ has shown that he can be decisive and now he may want to return to Europe given that he is only 25 still, and it could be that he even ends up in Italy despite his previous difficulties.

Juventus are looking for a striker and Milan too will need to add some youth to their attacking department soon given the age of Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, so the Bianconeri or the Rossoneri could offer Barbosa another crack at Serie A.

  1. Eh, Milan already have enough striker

    – Giroud
    – Origi
    – Lazetic
    – Ibra

Even Leao, Rebic, and CDK can play as striker if Pioli wants. Also, if Milan needs a young striker they can just promote Marco Nasti from Primavera.

    1. Mi friend ibra has 41 years and will return in january you cant put a base in him, normaly he should retire, giroud has 35,while lazetic is a guy of 18 with no experience in western football he needs at least 1 year in serie b with playing time, milan urgently need a striker i dont understand why didnt signed belloti he was free transfeer you wont lose nothing if doesnt perform

      1. Dude, Belotti already passed his prime. You can see why no big club wants him despite he’s free. Even if Milan get him, he will be a bench warmer and the 4th choice.

And there’s no urgency of getting another striker when Milan already have Giroud, Origi, Lazetic, and Ibra. Not to mention Leao, Rebic, and CDK can play as striker as well.

        1. U keep talk about ibra be realistical ibra isnt a choice if u want to win or have a decent figure in ucl ibra is 41 and will return in january after 8 months without playing with ibra you want to win scudeto this year, or with giroud at 35,milan is the only top team without a top striker, and u keep talk about lazetic which has no experience at senior level if u think that milan can make it on 2 fronts european cups and scudetto with ibra which no one knows if he can play again, lazetic which is nobody and giroud means u never watch football

          1. Are you too stupid to understand my post?

Did you even watch last season where Ibra scored 8 goals and Giroud scored 11 goals + 4 assist? Without them, Milan wouldn’t win the 19th scudetto.

Now Milan also have Origi. The guy is a beast back in Liverpool where he won EPL and Champions League. His skills will be really helpful for Milan and he plays a lot better than your Belotti who already passed his prime.

Lazetic is young but that’s the point why Maldini bought him back in January so he can train under veterans like Ibra and Giroud. Milan already prepared young strikers for the future.

And scoring goals isn’t a problem for Milan because they have plenty of goal scorers like Leao, Theo, Tonali, Bennacer, Messias. Heck, Kalulu, Calabria, and Tomori can scored too.

Milan main problem is they’re lacking good CAM that can provide with good assist and also scores. But that already rectified with Adli and CDK.

I’ve watched football longer than kids like you. Now please STFU and go play your video games. Thank you.

      1. Probably. Don’t know how good the kid is but i don’t think we will see him in the first team for the next 2-3 years.

  2. Save the 30 mil add another 20 mil and get Benjamin Sesko next summer. Hopefully ManUtd doesn’t sign him before that
That kid will be a great striker

  3. As a Brazilian, I hope this isn’t true, this guy is major a**hole, and quite mediocre, honestly. He is clutch, to be fair, and find goals out of nowhere sometimes. But he does well for Flamengo mainly because they have one of the best teams in the Americas. But even they already have another striker who’s better than Gabigol, in Pedro (who’s probably better suited for European football as well).

  4. Adding youth for striker? We have plenty marco nasti, colombo, roback, lazetic and soon tommaso mancini. This news are scam, who want to take him back to europe after his big failure in serie A . Many player from brazil league failed in europe now but still their price expensive like everton suarez aka cebolinha 2 years ago asking price 70m euro now back to brazil league with just 9m euro transfer fee
