AC Milan have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Marco Asensio as his agent Jorge Mendes is trying to engineer a move away from Real Madrid, according to a report from Spain.
According to Cadena Ser, Asensio feels like he has been relegated to having a secondary role under Carlo Ancelotti so the forward’s representatives are already working to find a way out, even if a renewal with Los Blancos and a guarantee of more playing time cannot be ruled out.
The 26-year-old has many potential suitors in Serie A and the Premier League as per the report, so Jorge Mendes and the Gestifute agency are working to get him a move. Milan and Juventus are very interested, as are another Premier League club in addition to Newcastle United.
Real Madrid want to use him in preseason because they believe it will be a long summer, but Mendes is ready to say that the player will not play for Los Blancos again unless he is renewed with a pay rise.
