Di Marzio: Milan and Juventus ask for PSG’s €90m man – why the operation is difficult

Further confirmation has arrived regarding the story that broke yesterday claiming that AC Milan have made an enquiry over Randal Kolo Muani.

As Sky stated in a report that came out on Saturday afternoon, Milan would like to sign another centre-forward in January and they really like the PSG striker. The Rossoneri have asked PSG for a loan deal, but the operation remains difficult.

Milan are not the only club interested in the former Eintracht Frankfurt star, with Juventus also making inquiries in recent days. The player also has admirers abroad, such as Bayern Munich and some Premier League teams.

PSG paid over €90m to sign him from the German club and yet he is now out of Luis Enrique’s plans. The striker will be loaned out in January, but has a very high salary (€5m net plus bonuses) and PSG are unwilling to contribute towards it.

The Frenchman is having some difficulties this season. He hasn’t scored against PSG since September 1st and has only netted two goals in 14 games. The little playing time given to him by Luis Enrique doesn’t help, as he has rarely started.

He fared better with the national team, where he remains a key figure for Deschamps. In fact, with France he scored three goals in two games against Belgium, in the first and second legs of the Nations League group stage.

  1. no any striker will change anything in AC Milan. if the club had not needed players such as De Ketelaere or Salemaekers, we would not achieve any success. the team doesn’t play good football so there are not many goals. simple. today probably Roma will beat us. and how long Claudio Ranieri is their new coach? let see. that could be interesting experience.

  2. We should look at Nkunku on loan with option to buy. He is too good of player to be sitting on the bench. We’ve done plenty of business with chelsea. Would be smart signing to solve our goal scoring problem.

    1. Dude has 5 injuries a season, earns close to 13M€ and isn’t a ST..

Basically you want Milan to sign this dude and pay his salary which he’s in and out of the infirmary.
Not to mention Chelsea would want 50-60M for a permanent deal anyway.
For that we could land Osi who is a ST, doesn’t get injured often and has a bit lower salary

      1. Agreed for that money (transfer fee + wages) osimhen a true no.9 who is proven elite in serie A.

Slightly disagree about his fitness. He was a bit injury prone at Napoli. But yeah would be superb.

Realistically we all know the board don’t look in this price range so almost all of the “ideal fan targets” won’t be under consideration.

More likely someone like J David if his agents don’t ask for a big sign on, or someone like Zirkzee who struggled so far at United and they might look to offload.

  3. I recall all the people who clamoured for this dude and bashed M&M because they didn’t sign him. Can’t sign everyone and you never know how things can turn out especially for a striker. Haaland can arrive and score zero with us
