AC Milan are worried about the condition of Simon Kjaer and could bring forward the purchase of a new centre-back to January, a report claims.
According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Kjaer’s injury worries Milan who – in view of the rest of the season – are subsequently thinking of accelerating one of the possible summer signing by going on the market in search of a central defender.
Among the more simple names to pursue in January is Torino’s Bremer, a player who has been persistently linked with the Rossoneri over the past few weeks and looks set to leave the Granata, but Inter are also keen.
However, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are considering other options such as Benoit Badiashile of Monaco, Facundo Medina of Lens and Caleb Okoli of Atalanta (on loan at Cremonese).
Another option would be to end Mattia Caldara’s loan early even if the player is very happy at Venezia and would like to end his season there. The feeling is that the Rossoneri’s scouting department could focus on a more experienced centre-back in January, while next summer will mark the search for a deputy to Tomori.

I agree with Truss about the defense, if absolutely needed just call back Caldara. No need to waste money. That said I’d rather we go in on a player like Berardi, Messias’ 2 good games aren’t enough to justify that we don’t need a legit RW. Striker purchase is for the summer.
If we are aiming for Scudetto, we need to atleast sign a experienced defender for 6months loan. Kalulu is backup for Calabria who is more often injured to this season.we have many experienced on bench of big teams, I am sure no other player can fill the gap of Kjaer.but Still we need a backup for 6months
