PM: Geo-political situation has Milan eyeing possible €15m deal for winger

AC Milan could go back in for a player they have been heavily linked with as they look to reinforce the wings, a report claims.

According to PianetaMilan, the Rossoneri would be expected to sign a new winger in the event that they sell Ante Rebić in the summer, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of Rubin Kazan could very well fit the bill. He has already been followed with a lot of interest by Milan in the past 12 months, but the asking price of €30m+ meant a move was not viable.

Kvaratshkelia is under contract with the Russian club until 30 June 2024 but is currently on loan to the Georgian side Dinamo Batumi due to the ongoing situation between Russia and Ukraine. It is because of the geo-political situation that the 21-year-old could now move for €15m in the summer.

However, the talented Georgian – who has 2 goals and 5 assists in 22 games this season – is the number one target to replace Insigne.

  1. A great talent but it seems unlikely that russian teams will be allowed to sell any players in the forseeable future so it would seem far more likely that the player has his contract terminated but that would again potentially open up the possibility of a lawsuit like for example the one that has been ongoing with leao and sporting.

  2. Why do they want to sell Rebic, how much inconsistency has he shown for him to be put in the transfer market?

Guy just came out of an injury that kept him out for weeks and is trying to find his feet again which is understandable

Who was our top scorer last season and would have banged in more goals this season but for his injury.

Seems the Milan management don’t know what they are doing if this news is true.

Instead of Maldini and his gang to focus on how to reinforce the RW wing, get us a capable AMF and a Backup Striker, they are busying playing gamble here and there.

It won’t surprise me if after the summer purchase, a few months later, they deem most of the players they bought as not good enough, and then we start all over again causing Mr. Pioli all manner of headaches

  3. Guys. It is not that they want to sell Rebic. It is reported that Rebic may not sign an extension IF he is not playing regular football. Leao is our #1 on the left and Management is all in on him.
We cry when they go away for free…. and we cry now when management sells them for a profit.

  4. This guy is great. Seen him in several international games. He has really good teqnique and a good eye. Against Sweden in two games he was outstanding. Almost alone he beat Sweden and we all know how good the swedish defense tends to be. Two goals in the second game between the teams. He would be very interesting to have on the team.
