CM: Milan make decision on Lazetic future following senior debut

By Mitchell Wilks -

AC Milan have decided that Marko Lazetic needs a temporary spell away from the club in the immediate future, a new report states.

Lazetic made his senior debut in Milan’s 3-0 Coppa Italia semi-final defeat to Inter on Tuesday evening, but has otherwise found opportunities in the first team difficult to come by.

Calciomercato.com report that Milan have decided to send the 18-year-old forward on loan, in order to find that valuable first team experience.

It is not suggested where they might look to loan Lazetic as yet, but the decision feels a sensible one following his signing in January.

Since signing at the beginning of 2022, Lazetic has been plying his trade in the Primavera setup, despite being assigned the shirt number 22 and enlisted as a first-team player.

Having debuted for Red Star Belgrade as a 16-year-old, however, the Serbian’s future is believed to be bright, which Milan must capitalise on.
