AC Milan are closing in on reaching an agreement with Rafael Leao over the extension of his contract, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of the newspaper Tuttosport (via MilanLive) takes stock of the negotiation over the renewal of Leao which of course involves directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara plus the winger’s agent Jorge Mendes, and it seems that things are proceeding well.
An agreement has been found on the basis of a figure of around €4m net per year and the extension of the deadline would be until June 2026 from the current 2024. At this moment the parties are working on bonuses to be added to the fixed part in the event of the achievement of various objectives.
Leao, for his part, has already expressed his desire to remain at Milan, having shown in the early part of the season how important he is to Pioli’s game and that he may finally have achieved the consistency he has been looking for.
