AC Milan forward Rafael Leao is the Portuguese player with the most goals and assists in all of the top five leagues this season so far, a report claims.
As has been reported by statistic specialists Opta (via Milan News), Milan’s Portuguese forward is the most prolific player from that country in Europe right now.
Leao has participated in nine goals this season so far, in the form of five goals and four assists. He is also one of only five players born after January 1, 1999, to have at least nine goals and assists.
He is in very good company in that regard, because the others are Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala, Lille’s Jonathan David, and Manchester City duo Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.
The stats are yet further proof that Milan have one of Europe’s elite players on their hands but they need to tie him down to a new contract as soon as possible.
