Mundo Deportivo: Milan among potential suitors for want-away Sevilla man

AC Milan have been mentioned among the teams that are interested in a potential move for Sevilla goalkeeper Bono by a report in Spain.

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Bono is not happy with his situation at Sevilla and his agent has already begun to move to find a possible destination for the 32-year-old ahead of the summer.

He has received declarations of interest from three clubs in LaLiga – namely Villarreal, Real Sociedad and Valencia – but also from Premier League pair Leeds United and West Ham United as well as Serie A duo Milan or Roma.

Born Yassine Bounou, ‘Bono’ has made 31 appearances for the Andalusian club in all competitions this season, keeping just six clean sheets and letting in 55 goals in the process. He let in 12 goals in four Champions League games.

Given that it sounds like the experienced stopper wants a starring role at a more ambitious club, we have to question why Milan would be interested given they have one of the best in the world in Mike Maignan.

  1. Why would we need a new keeper? Unless Chelsea want to pay us £200m for Magic Mike? Not sure about Bono; he’s a good keeper, but apparently plays very close to the edge….
