Milan legend Costacurta explains why Verona clash will be easier than Udinese

By Isak Möller -

Following the disappointment against Udinese on Wednesday, Milan will be looking to redeem themselves tomorrow afternoon with a win. However, it won’t be easy, as they will take on Hellas Verona away from home.

On paper, Ivan Juric’s side is stronger than Udinese and this is important for Milan, who certainly can’t underestimate them. Having said that, this game might suit the Rossoneri better as there will be more space to work with.

Udinese sat back for most of Wednesday’s encounter and made it really difficult for Stefano Pioli’s men to break through. However, Verona are a lot more attacking-minded and Milan legend Billy Costacurta highlighted this, speaking to Sky Italia.

“I would be a little more careful in terms of the standings, Milan have a very difficult game tomorrow, even if paradoxically the game is easier as they will play man against man,” he said as cited by MilanNews.

Hopefully, Milan can continue their impressive away form – only one loss since June of last year – and add three important points to their tally. With Juventus lurking just behind them, they need the win to keep hold of second place.
