The AC Milan management have still not reached out to Mattia Liberali’s camp over a contract extension, according to a report.

However, one of the other issues that he must tackle – given the contract expiring in just over 12 months – is the future of Liberali, one of the brightest talents in the Milan youth sector.
Radio silence
As per the latest from Matteo Moretto, there is ‘still no contact’ between Milan and Liberali for a possible contract renewal, which means that there are not even any ongoing negotiations at present.
Milan are called upon sit down with Liberali and his entourage to sort out a plan for the future, amid rumours that Atalanta and Fiorentina are monitoring his situation as well as other Italian clubs.
Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com recently reported that the renewal of the teenage attacking midfielder’s contract is ‘among Tare’s objectives’, but things will have to accelerate otherwise the risk of the player being tempted to leave increases.

Italy need to focus on youth development, particularly on technique, speed/ pace, rather than tactics. We are falling behind. Liberali has good technique among Italians but Milan’s focus is to become a retirement home. They now have dinosaur Allegri and then they are trying to get Modric and Rabiot. Meanwhile Brighton are trying to get Coppola for 11 million €, which is very reasonable fee.
Spalletti tactics need technique and speed. The only player who is good among current crops are Chiesa, and to some extent Politqno and Zaccagni, all of whom he left behind. Yes he deserves the sack but we need more players with Flair.
A never seen before level of incompetence. Not even in underdeveloped countries.
Then our management cry on the will of players…..I wonder why our top players in roasters are asking to leave….we fans might not be seeing what they are….with no motivation seen what so ever. Now liberali is a home grown player who spent years at Milano and the talent is there for all to see and some how we are sleeping atleast what’s on papers we read.
There’s no time to renew Liberali we’re too busy selling our best players and chasing f’ing Vlahovic and Retegui

Why is the management of Milan delaying the extension of the contract? Well, they enjoy the fact that the players receive lower salaries for as long as possible, until they lose the will to play and then to stay at the club.
Yes it must be difficult for management to organise a simple contract renewal with one our young stars, when they are so busy f*cking everything up….
If they thought he was a major talent, they would have given him a new contract. He’s too short. Romero also looked good in friendlies.

Tare and Moncada analyse the players, not the money men. If you look at the young players who have been discarded in recent years, only Kerkez has gone on to become a star. Besides, Liberali has 12 months left on his contract, no club can make an approach until January 2026. There are far more important things to deal with at this stage than Liberali. I watch a lot of the Primavera and the biggest talent by far is Scotti and his contract also expires next summer. Do you seem any headlines about him? No, because fans saw Liberali player in friendlies last summer and thought he was the new Messi. Now is Scotti’s contract isn’t extended soon, I will throw a fit. Liberali? Not so much.
Yes short players have never done well – Messi, Modric, Maradona etc etc etc..

They are the exceptions, not the rule. Look at Sacchi’s Milan, that was a team of giants.
