‘Rather expensive’ – Milan like Vlahovic idea but no progress has been made yet

Dusan Vlahovic’s name keeps cropping up in the AC Milan sphere, and there are several reasons why this is happening.

There has been interest in Vlahovic for a considerable amount of time now. So, with his contract expiring at the end of the current season, it makes complete sense why Milan are looking at his situation with eagerness.

With Massimiliano Allegri’s arrival, an attempt was made in the summer. However, things could not be agreed upon, so it seemed like his situation would be revisited at some point in the future.

Is Vlahovic to Milan getting closer?

Now, he is able to sign a pre-contract with any club, with his deal expiring within the next six months. So, his name is once again of interest, especially after the Rossoneri failed to sign a striker in January.

It will not be a simple task, though, and Matteo Moretto (via MilanNews) has offered some insight into the interest and what is currently stopping things from progressing.

“Vlahovic’s name has often been linked to Milan. Allegri and the management like the player very much, but at the moment, there is no advanced negotiation for Vlahovic at Milan.

“There is a liking, but it is an operation, between salary and commissions, rather expensive.”

  1. I just wonder what kind of commissions his agent will involve. A free transfer isn’t always so free anymore. And then the question of salary.
