Journalist claims Milan are likely to sell defender in January: “A bid is coming”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to offload Andrea Conti and he should leave the club during the January transfer window, a journalist claims.

According to what is being reported by journalist Nicolo Schira, Conti could leave Milan in January and end his time at the club after four and a half years. Genoa and Sampdoria are still monitoring the right-back having been linked over the summer.

Schira adds to ‘pay attention to a club abroad’ and that ‘a bid is coming’, which seems to suggest his departure is a more concrete hypothesis than it might have been a few months ago.

Conti was sent on loan to Parma for the second half of last season having been bumped down to third in the right-back pecking order after Pierre Kalulu’s emergence, but they did not buy him permanently after suffering relegation, and without a single minute of action to his name the 27-year-old is looking for a new destination.
