TMW: Milan-linked goalkeeper close to agreeing new contract with Fiorentina

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan-linked goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano is very close to agreeing on a new contract with Fiorentina which would put an end to any Rossoneri interest, a report claims.

As has been reported by TMW today, the Italian goalkeeper seems like he will not be ending up as the backup at Milan to Mike Maignan as he will soon extend his stay with La Viola.

He had been linked in recent months as a possible upgrade on Ciprian Tatarusanu who is now filling in for Maignan who picked up an injury whilst playing for France in the UEFA Nations League.

The new deal should run until the summer of 2025 and he is likely to earn €1 million per season. He has carved out a starting role for himself at Fiorentina, helped by the sale of Bartlomiej Dragowski.

Milan will have to turn their attentions elsewhere if they want to find a new player to be the backup to Maignan.
