AC Milan have been mentioned among the clubs interested in signing Daniel Svensson from Borussia Dortmund.
Milan are heading into a big summer transfer window in which there are some obvious areas to address. The left flank could well be one, given that Pervis Estupinan has not convinced at all in his first year since arriving from Brighton and could therefore be sold, leaving just Davide Bartesaghi.

Dortmund man on the list
According to German source Fussballdaten, Dortmund’s management want to keep Svensson in the squad but their model means they are not closing the door to a sale for the right price and do not consider the player ‘untouchable’.
They want €35m rising to €40-45m with add-ons to even begin negotiations, while Svensson’s contract in Dortmund runs until 2029. This long-term contract significantly strengthens the German club’s position regarding the defender, who has two goals and two assists in 32 league games this season.
The most serious moves for Svensson are expected to come from England and Italy. Liverpool have identified the 24-year-old as one of their top targets to rejuvenate their defence and increase competition at left-back. Arsenal and Leeds United are also mentioned as keen.
Inter are showing the greatest interest in Svensson out of Italian clubs, and plan to use him as a wing-back. Milan and Atalanta are also ‘cautiously testing the market’, while the Nerazzurri’s preference for a player-plus-cash deal could work against them as BVB would prefer just money.
While the player is currently focused on keeping Dortmund in the Champions League spots, his dream of playing in the Premier League is now considered an ‘open secret’. News is likely to come before or after the World Cup, where he will be with Sweden this summer.

Sure, we’re going to spend 1/2 to 1/3 of the budget on a full back.
Not gonna happen, there’s no need for this kind of fake news. We monitor everyone but mostly bring c**p players (cca 80% of the time, to be precise), those few exceptions (Modric, Rabiot) happen to us very rarely, in fact, they seem to end up in ACM rarer than ever before. Fofana and Pavlovic (and Tammy to a certain extent) before that, also, before that in 2023/24 Reijnders and Pulisic and (also only in some small(er) and limited part) Jovic. I expected more from Walker, Chukwueze wasn’t so bad at all as many of the fans are trying (and striking hard in doing so) to portray him to be, I’am sorry for some other players which should’ve been used more and/or better (e.g. Simic, Ricci, Romero) but it is what it is…
I believe Pulisic was brought in as a back up and to sell shirts- lol.
He wasn’t brought as a backup but that second reason makes sense considering who the owner is (what his rationale looks like) and where is he coming from.
where he is
