AC Milan are one of the clubs who are taking an interest in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga, according to a report.

Football Insider report that Pitaluga is being watched by Milan and Atletico Madrid after he had a good first half of the season on loan at Macclesfield Town before suffering an ankle ligament injury. He has now fully recovered and wants a spot in the Brazil Olympics squad for Paris 2024.

The source claims that the Rossoneri and the LaLiga side are ‘long-term admirers of Pitaluga’ and sent scouts to watch him in action for Liverpool U21s against Arsenal on Monday, and the reports they sent back were very positive.

The 20-year-old was part of the youth sector at Fluminense before joining the Reds for a reported fee of that could rise to £2m, but at the moment he is behind Alisson, Caoimhin Kelleher and Adrian in Jurgen Klopp’s pecking order.
