Report claims Milan are among teams interested in signing departing Liverpool forward

AC Milan are one of the clubs interested in signing Roberto Firmino amid widespread reports he will leave Liverpool in the summer, a report has claimed.

According to a report from Football Italia, Juventus, Milan and Inter are ‘on high alert’ as Firmino has made the decision to try a new experience and leave Anfield after eight seasons, as Sky Sport Deutschland and Sky Sport Italia have also confirmed.

The Rossoneri are working with a limited budget given their path of sustainability on the transfer market, and they are expected to sign a new striker given that Zlatan Ibrahimovic might retire, Olivier Giroud will turn 37 this year and Divock Origi has struggled to find form.

Firmino is 31 years of age and has been at Liverpool since 2015 having joined them from Hoffenheim, and he has 107 goals plus 78 assists in 353 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side. He has 7 goals in 17 league games this season, having rediscovered his form somewhat.
