AC Milan could sign a defender during the January window, and a player who was strongly linked in the summer remains a target.
As Corriere dello Sport (via PressReader) report this morning, Massimiliano Allegri has certainly helped stop the bleeding in the rearguard after last season’s awful record. Milan have conceded nine goals so far, but six came against Cremonese, Pisa and Parma, so there is room for improvement.

Further changes planned
The trio that Allegri has chosen to rely on is Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia and Strahinja Pavlovic. In the summer there were alterations as Malick Thiaw headed to Newcastle for €40m, and his place was taken by Koni De Winter, acquired from Genoa for €20m. Young talent David Odogu arrived for €10m too.
Before signing Odogu – who is considered more of a profile for the future – Igli Tare tried until the end of the summer transfer window to sign a more experienced central defender. Liverpool’s Joe Gomez was the man he went for, and the management are considering reopening talks with the Reds.

Negotiations with the Englishman were in full swing at the end of August, but Liverpool’s failure to acquire Marc Guehi had prompted Arne Slot to keep the Englishman. Since then though he has made just four substitute appearances in the Premier League in 11 games.
Gomez has only logged 238 minutes of playing time in three months of the season: not enough to consider staying around Anfield any longer. At Milan he could play as a centre-back, right-back or even right wing-back, and this time negotiations ‘could materialise very quickly’.

Yep add more deadwood that won’t improve the team, the acclaimed world prospect Odogwu hasn’t kicked a single ball since joining.
If possible get Andreas Christensen from Barcelona instead. He has an expiring contract and is only 1 year older and can also play CDM and he also has several experiences abroad so he might settle and gel easier.
Love that thought. He has had some health problems but with the amount of games everyone is playing it happens to almost everyone.
He has indeed had some injuries but he is a rock when ready and its not like Gomez hasn’t had any longer lasting injuries either but I’m far more comfortable acquiring Christensen than Gomez. I could see him becoming our new Kjær and even at a younger state of his career. I’m from Denmark so I might look at it with colored eyes but I really like his calmness and how he reads the game and that was also some of Simons best traits in my view. Could be a leader in the locker room as Kjær for the next 4-5 years which also could help the rest and especially the younger ones.
He’s also been teammates with all the Chelsea guys other than Nkunku and he seems to be well liked wherever he plays and always talked about as a leader. I remember him and Puli being good mates. He would definitely be a great central defender for us and has an high football IQ which we very much need. Hopefully it happens.
Yeah that is correct and it might indeed help him gel faster as well. Absolutely but I could actually see it happen so I don’t think its completely unfeasible.
Talking liverpool’s Gomez makes us remind of oroghi, where is he now.
Joe Gomez, worst option possible…
And that is the only reason why the transfer could materialize quickly. Pool can’t wait to get rid of him.
They sold Thiaw because they got a good price for his sale. They bought a young player to Allegri who never trusted in youngsters (De Winter) and now thinking about bench warmer and injury brone Gomez. Great thinking management
Origi needs a 4-million friend in Primavera.
Tare, bastаrd, wake up!
You brought us that asshоle of Estupidian, now thi Gomes…
We can deal with Liverpool over gio leoni for this winter transfer. Loan with option to buy. The kid not yet playing in EPL. What a wasting talent 😂😂
What the hell !!! You do realize that Leoni is out with a cruciate ligament injury and wont be back until next season right ?
Leoni is in a long term injury. He will probably be back around march next year. So that’s not an option.
I missed your comment as I’m a tad drunk here 😀
