CM.it: Milan expected to sign forward Klopp branded as ‘world class’ on five-year deal

AC Milan are closing in on their first signing to reinforce the attack ahead of 2022-23 as Divock Origi should arrive from Liverpool, a report claims.

Origi arrived in the Premier League in the summer of 2015 from Lille and though his starts have been few and far between, there is no doubting that he has had a big impact under Jurgen Klopp. He scored in the Champions League semi-final comeback against Barcelona, netted against Spurs in the final and has a number of other vital goals.

Klopp himself sang the praises of the Belgian after he scored in the derby against Everton yesterday: “Divock is a world class player and wherever he goes I know he will do very well. What happened to us in the second half with Everton would not have been possible without him on the pitch.”

Calciomercato.it report that Milan are just waiting for the final details of the agreement to be resolved and then everything should be in place, with a deal expected to be reached by the end of the weeks.

It is a department that certainly needed a big signing and the report adds that it is likely that the agreement will be a five-year contract, but for the official figures it will be necessary to wait.
