Tijjani Reijnders is attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League with his performances for AC Milan, according to a report from England.
The last couple of games perhaps best show how important Reijnders is to Milan. A few days after his match-winning brace in the Champions League against Club Brugge, he served a suspension against Napoli and the end result was a 2-0 defeat.
He has become undroppable to Paulo Fonseca just as he was to Stefano Pioli before and he is now a permanent fixture in the Netherlands starting line-up too, showcasing his importance for club and country.
According to TBR Football, Spurs are looking for midfield reinforcements and have highlighted Reijnders as a potential option, seeing him as someone to compete with Yves Bissouma.
Not only that, but the Premier League champions Manchester City have ‘been watching him this season’, while Liverpool are monitoring him and have been since before he joined Milan.
However, Milan are ‘ready to open talks over a new long-term deal’ because they are ‘aware that his performances have caught the attention of other clubs’.
Fabrizio Romano stated last week that Milan are beginning discussions with him and his camp over an extension, and whilst there is ‘no rush’ the club see him as a key part of the project and want to reflect that.
Why not leave the negotiations until the last year of his contract? I mean, that seems to be the trend here. What could possibly go wrong?
Good one bb.
What’s the scramble? He has 3years left
I’m tempted to say that if an English club wants to overspend on someone who’s more than replaceable then let the circus begin. Although much like everyone who leaves Milan these days it will probably turn out that he was a world beater after all!
