Milan look to Genoa for new attacking options – report

By Nick Sprague -

As is tradition, Milan have already started working with Genoa on swooping up some of their top quality players for next season.

Milan in the past have gone to them for the likes of Sokratis, El Sharawaay and Kevin Constant and many others

Now the Rossoneri have reportedly set their sights on the son of Diego Simeone who is currently in Spain as Manager of Atletico Madrid. ‘El Cholo’ has himself been linked with a move to the Serie A with Milan’s struggling city-rivals Inter, who could use all the help they can get after their poor performance this season.

In his first season at Genoa, Giovanni has netted himself 11 goals in 30 appearances to help them avoid relegation and secure 16th in the table.

The intention is to set up an exchange with Lapadula and Simeone; the former having bagged seven goals this season, the latter 12.

Genoa value him at around €25million while Milan’s valuation is closer to €15-18million.
