The AC Milan management are planning their recruitment strategy for the summer window, and two Italy internationals are on the list.
It seems that Milan are watching these World Cup play-offs with particular attention, because they have their eye on two national team players to strengthen the squad in the upcoming summer transfer window.
It seems to be no secret that Milan are in the market for a new striker and a central defender ahead of 2026-27 and they could turn towards two names that are close to home, at least in terms of their Azzurri presence: Mateo Retegui and Federico Gatti.
Following Italy’s 2-0 victory over Northern Ireland, Nicolò Schira (via Radio Rossonera) discussed the futures of several players from the national team. Regarding Milan, the names of Gatti and Retegui were mentioned, two interesting ideas for the future.
On Gatti: “Federico Gatti could leave Juve if given a good offer. Several Premier League teams are interested in him, but be careful because he’s an old favourite of Massimiliano Allegri’s. Who knows, maybe Milan could come back and try again. Juventus would want €20-25m to sell him”
On Retegui: “There was a possibility a couple of weeks ago: a dinner between his agent Alessandro Moggi and Milan sporting director Igli Tare. If the opportunity arose, perhaps on loan and with part of his salary paid by the Arabs, the Rossoneri would be ready. Above all, Retegui is homesick for Italy and would be very happy to return.”

Retegui is rather dull, very similar to Richarlison, these players give you an impression that they are not very smart to begin with. Bring in a CF that is smart with the ball.
To see that game and go for RETEGUI over Keane is just plain stupidity
Palestra would be better bet from National team
for striker its difficult no matter what we do
Yeah in addition to Pissili
Awful & awful
All these players that go to the Middle East for big bucks and then come back a season or two later after realizing that life there S*CKS. LOL. Except Xtina Ronaldo, who just loves money.
I guess they are led by example from FIFA/UEFA executives and owners such as our very own lovely Wall Street a-hole, trying to bring NBA to Europe, trying to build a super league with top college football programs, trying to build a stadium with Starbucks and H&M, raising the costs of tickets steadily since his arrival, throwing words like ROI around, thinking that winning is boring, etc. Yes this dude is driven by passion for the game. But let’s blame the players for being greedy.
I think gatti will be the best choice but im not sure that juve will let him leave for us
Disaster players will again not go at world cup
