CM: Daniel Maldini opens to idea of loan – playmaker closing in on joining Serie B side

By Oliver Fisher -

It is a busy day for AC Milan on the outgoings front as Daniel Maldini is reportedly edging towards leaving on loan, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com talks about the ‘hectic hours’ for the Milan market and in particular in the attacking department where two players could soon pack their bags and leave the club on loan. Negotiations with Valencia over Samu Castillejo continue, but now Daniel Maldini is also on the list of those who could be packing their bags.

The report claims that SPAL want the attacking midfielder on loan until the end of the season and there is an opening by the player to find more playing time, having amassed just 219 minutes this season in 11 appearances across all competitions.

The two clubs are therefore working on the basis of a dry loan, with Milan not intending to lose control over Maldini on a permanent basis, given he is only 20 and has shown promise, plus of course the weight of his surname.
