Last month, it seemed that Christopher Nkunku could have left AC Milan. However, the Frenchman remained, and at the first opportunity, he showed that it was the right choice.
Throughout January, there were several suggestions that Milan could part ways with Nkunku. Put simply, the Frenchman had not really performed to the level expected of him, so questions arose about his situation.

In fact, it looked like the Rossoneri were going to part with their summer striker addition after six months for the second year in a row. Though Nkunku opted against a move, preferring to prove himself to the club.
Nkunku’s saviours
Reports have stated that the damage may have already been done to the relationship, and his future could be revisited in the summer. However, it may only be one side of the relationship which is damaged.
Alessandro Sabatini commented on the situation via his YouTube channel, and his words have been relayed by All Milan.
“The players’ returns also depend on the confidence of the coaches; they also depend on some market details, more or less told, hidden. Here, Nkunku was on the market for Ibrahimovic and Furlani; he had to leave. Milan had spent too much money, so Nkunku had to go.

“Allegri and Tare said no, especially Allegri. They pampered the player’s will to stay, and the player repaid them with a performance of the highest level. I can’t change my opinion on the wings of a result. So I allow that Nkunku is not a first tip and can and must give much more.
“But the match against Bologna is exemplary of a player who is at ease with the coach, with his teammates, with the tactics.”

so it’s most likely Gimenez that will leave. Fulkrug’s obviously 5th choice. Nkunku is liked by both Tare and Allegri
Gimenez doesn’t necessarily have to leave. We need four attackers. We currently have Leao, Pulisic, Gimenez and Nkunku, with Fullkrug on loan to cover for injuries. Other names linked were as replacements for Nkunku. But if Nkunku comes to life in the second half of the season and already has the trust of the coach and the DS (arguably the two most important decision makers as to who is on the pitch), then I don’t see any changes in the summer. While I agree that Gimenez’s position would arguably be the most tenuous, I’m not sure he’s been fully measured. He arrived in January last season to a club in turmoil, and then spent the first half of this season playing through an injury. This is basically a lost season for him. I think he ought to be given another season to show what he can do when fully healthy and in a side that’s in the second year of a project that is ascendant.
hence most likely… I would say only 3 are guarantees atm: Leao, Pulisic and Fulkrug…
Nkunku is more on that road and since his injuries seem behind him while already being proven quality player in many other teams, I think that momentum will be kept.
post operation Gimenez is the only one left to prove himself and if he does of course I would gladly keep him. currently it just seems a big if
Gila at this stage I think is guaranteed in the summer for CBs to be done. Zalewski can be good edition to fullbacks even more if we take into account that Atalanta will need to sell. and if Gimenez stays that means only upgrade on RLC.
I’d like to see an Xmas tree formation with nkunku and pulisic behind vlahovic next year. If we can get that back 4 really locked down this would be very interesting.
Vlahobitch is not coming, so Merry Christmas
What does it matter? Didn’t hit the floor running but we’d be a bit screwed without him at the moment. Overpay maybe, but frankly he’s helped us get results over the line in recent games and potential is there to get better if he can stay fit – the squad seem to like him.
This is the whole point I’ve been trying to make – Allegri and Tare are just a facade. They don’t actually have any pull when it comes to the market. Furlani is still calling the shots. The spending patterns remain the same, whether Elliott is running things or Comvest and Gerry.
If they didn’t have any pull then Nkunku would’ve been sold in January.
Obviously they do have some say.
he wouldnt leave!
“Allegri and Tare said no, especially Allegri”
Dude did you read the article 😂
The article actually showed they did call the shots here. Sorry bud. If they weren’t, Nkunku would actually have left. Allegri and Tare said he’s staying, and … guess what? He’s still here.
Furlani is the one without sway apparently.
Next time try reading comprehension.
But the thing is, the article is just a journalist’s opinion. Who knows if it corresponds to the truth?
By the way, it’s a “journalist” with a YouTube channel; not even a real journalist employed by one of the main newspapers.
It’s called click bait.
I disagree, they all ha e its role. This is corporate America running things. Each has respinsabilities and accountabilities
I don’t see both Pulisic and Leao staying with the formation we play. One will likely leave if not both. This system is really set up for a true number 9 and a supporting forward. We’ll see.
Stop being dumb and overthinking
Also keep in mind that “journalist claims” sounds like ragebait. So people need to stay calm.
💯
Gimenez’s injury probably disrupted a January exit. He seems most certain to leave.
