AC Milan are closely watching developments linked to Alejandro Garnacho’s Manchester United future, a report claims.

Milan are not currently in the market for a new starting left winger given the presence of Rafael Leao. However, noise is growing about a big offer coming from Bayern Munich for the Portuguese, so naturally the management must prepare back-up plans for if he goes.

Garnacho: Milan in the mix

According to CaughtOffside, Garnacho could be allowed to leave Manchester United before the start of next season and the starting asking price is €55m. It is Chelsea above all who remain interested in the winger, but they are also keen on Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens.

European giants are queuing up to sign Garnacho though, as the source claims he is still a target for Napoli after they ‘also strongly considered him back in January’. Milan, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen – now coached by his former manager Erik ten Hag – are in the hunt too.

At just 20 years of age there is definitely the potential for Garnacho to grow into something special, but United are being forced to consider offers because of the financial difficulties that will come from no European football in 2025-26, a bit like Milan with Tijjani Reijnders.

Garnacho played 58 times for United last season across all competitions, and he amassed 11 goals and 10 assists in a side that finished just outside the relegation zone and lost in the Europa League final to Spurs.

  1. Milan in no way remain in the mix. Stop making things up. Napoli had a bid of £40 million turned down in January. Milan are not going to pay even half that for Garnacho, nor is a winger needed, even if Leao is sold, that’s Pulisic’s natural position. Chances are he’d move to the left and Orsolini would be signed for the right.

  2. These garnacho articles make me sick, there probably not true anyways, but a mediocre winger with a bad attitude does not belong anywhere near this team

  3. Agreed that Garnacho is a big no. No need to take on some other team’s headache. If Leao was to be sold (I hope not), Milan should go for Mason Greenwood at Marseille. He’s a 20+ goal scorer with a desire to show Man U that they were wrong to toss him away. He’s relatively young, gifted, with a chip on his shoulder. Nothing better than a player with something to prove.

  4. Why on earth would we bring in one of the worst attitudes in european football. The guy thinks he’s cr7 when he isnt even as good as Delofeu. Not to mention he believes he needs to be the center if the universe and any coach who dares bench him is beneath him. Big freaking No. Let him go rot in Marseille with the other clowns
