Elche defender David Affengruber is attracting interest from AC Milan among other clubs around Europe, a report claims.
According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany (via Goal), Affengruber’s performances in LaLiga for Elche this season have earned him admiring glances from clubs in England, Italy and Spain ahead of the summer mercato.

The Austrian centre-back is being closely monitored by a number of clubs, with the journalist claiming that Milan are scouting him, as are Manchester United and Juventus. Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are also keen on Affengruber and could provide a chance for a domestic move.
The 25-year-old arrived at Elche as a free agent in the summer of 2024, joining from Sturm Graz when his contract expired. He helped earn them promotion back to the top flight, and this season he has made 36 league appearances for Elche.
He ended up getting his first call-up to the senior Austrian national team and even got a game in a friendly against Ghana, which is notable given that the World Cup is coming up in North America this summer.
It is possible that Affengruber could showcase his talents on the biggest stage. Despite being under contract until 2027, the defender is ‘planning a move’ to take the next step in his career.
The latest reports have suggested that Milan are looking for more than one central defender in the summer window, especially if they keep playing with a three-man defence.
