It seems AC Milan could be forced into playing Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao together against Inter at the weekend, per reports.

In recent weeks, it has become difficult to overlook the possibility of Milan starting a game with Leao and Pulisic leading. After all, the pair have been on fire for the Rossoneri this season, scoring a large majority of the team’s goals.

Considering the poor form of their recognised strikers, too, it would be difficult to look away from them, especially with them both being fit and ready to play in the system.

Gimenez doubts remain

However, the decision may be forced upon Massimiliano Allegri due to Santiago Gimenez’s injury. The Mexican admitted he had been playing through pain for some time and missed the ‘fitness friendly’ on Friday.

Today, Corriere dello Sport write that he must still be assessed, and his appearance in the derby is at risk. As MilanNews relays, he is ‘still a doubt’ for the game, and ‘better’ assessments are needed in the next few days.

There is time to go until the game, so it is not impossible that he is back. However, the longer that he is a doubt, the less likely he is to start.
