CM: Milan to meet entourage of Chelsea midfielder in the summer as loan struggles persist

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s midfield department is expected to undergo some changes during the summer window and Tiemoue Bakayoko’s future is uncertain, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com confirms that the midfield will see several changes considering the now almost certain farewell of Franck Kessie and the arrival of Yacine Adli, while there are doubts about the situation of Bakayoko who is on loan until summer 2023 but is finding little playing time.

At the end of the season there will be a meeting between the player’s entourage and the Rossoneri management to define his future and it cannot be ruled out that his loan deal is terminated early, perhaps to make room for a new signing.

Since his last loan at Milan under Gennaro Gattuso in 2018-19, Bakayoko has not found his best form again despite going back to his comfort zone in Monaco and getting regular minutes under Rino with Napoli last season.

Bakayoko was expected to provide consistent midfield cover while Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie were at the African Cup of Nations but he has never truly settled back in and now finds himself back down the pecking order again, having not been given a single minute of action in the last five games.
