GdS: Milan to meet Sassuolo over €30m forward with Locatelli-style formula in mind

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are plotting their moves to be more competitive next season and their number one target for the right wing has been established, a report claims.

IMMINENT SUMMIT – As reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), a meeting between Milan and Sassuolo is now imminent to talk about Domenico Berardi, a right winger who is valued at €30m+ given that he is having another excellent season.

The Rossoneri though do not want to pay the current asking price of Sassuolo’s CEO Carnevali and for this reason they are studying a particular formula similar to the one used a year ago by Juventus to sign Manuel Locatelli always from Sassuolo, which starts with a loan of sorts and which includes a series of bonuses.

Both the coaching staff and management like Berardi and for some time he has been in the crosshairs of the Rossoneri, but the price tag has meant other targets like Noa Lang and Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge have been kept alive too.

Berardi is at the top of Maldini and Massara’s list, and with 14 goals and 10 assists in Serie A this season he would almost certainly guarantee an upgrade in quality on the right side.

  1. If he was worth it, Juve would have signed him 3 seasons ago.

The person we would have signed has gone to Tottenham.

Milan focus on Lang and Charles de Kateleare.

  2. Milan please don’t pay for mediocre players like Berardi and Renato Sanches and go get kamara and othman dembele players that add real quality to the team kamara is really great player i watch him all year as i like olympique marseille that guy is really underrated player if we can get him he would be value 60 + million and he only 22 years tell me one negative thing about him ?
othman dembele is one of those winger who can do everything and he simply the perfect winger his the player we need in the right wing
and getting paulo dybala as attacking midfielder because that’s what his position based in his qualitys
    imagine a line up of
and those players are all free agents

    Mike Maignan
    Fikayo Tomori Sven Botman
    Pierre Kalulu Theo Hernandez

    Tonali Boubacar Kamara

Ousmane Dembele Paulo Dybala Rafael Leao
    Olivier Giroud

tell me this team will not be a real force in europe for years to come
this off season is make it or break it for us because we overachieve this year and we need to fix our holes and become stronger team
maldini should be allowed to build this team without restrictions if that’s not the case he should resign and not allow the milan owner to milk his and his family history
let’s be honest juventus and inter and napoli all have better players then us we are not winning this

    1. Yes agree if Berardi was a great talent he’d already been signed by a Juve or EPL team. The truth is that Berardi is the same type of player as Immobile effective enough to dominate bad teams and fits well with what he knows but he’s at his peak. Sure he’d be an improvement on Saladmaker and Messias but not the upgrade Milan need. For 30 million Milan could get Asensio who would dominate.

      1. “he truth is that Berardi is the same type of player as Immobile effective enough to dominate bad teams”

AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaand that’s EXACTLY what we are missing!!! A player who scores against the crappy teams. Berardi does that. Immobile certainly does that. He even scores against anyone in Serie A.

So next you’ll start saying they can’t score against European clubs… Well… Milan will not be playing in the European cups unless someone scores in Serie A as well.

    2. “Milan please don’t pay for mediocre players like Berardi and Renato Sanches and go get kamara and othman dembele players that add real quality to the team”

LOL. So a winger who scores +15 goals and delivers as many assists PER SEASON is mediocre? OK… Right…

Dembele? LOL. The guy is broken more often than Zlatan and is MASSIVELY overpriced.
