TMW: Milan hold meeting with agency of PSV forward who ticks all the boxes

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s scouts have an eye on young talent emerging from the continent and they set their sights on two young profiles in the Netherlands and Belgium.

TMW report that both Milan and Inter recently held a meeting with an Italian intermediary of SEG, an agency that among its clients boasts names such Cody Gakpo of PSV Eindhoven and Sergio Gomez of Anderlecht.

Gakpo is regarded as one of the brightest attacking talents in Europe and has been followed by the Rossoneri in recent months, especially given that he can play as a right winger but also as an attacking midfielder if needed.

His versatility, his potential and his profile perfectly reflect the identikit of the player that directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are looking for on the transfer market.

As for Gomez on the other hand, the Spain U21 international seems to be more of interest to Anderlecht at the moment but it must be noted that Milan have been linked with signing a new deputy to Theo Hernandez.

  1. Wow these links keep getting more and more serie b by the day…. not a good sign. Started off the mercato thinking of botman, sanches, CDK, Lang, zaniolo. All of them at least have status. Now look where we are.. thanks Redbird. So sad we’re stuck with them now… always hated Elliot, Moreso now

    1. You hated Elliot that saved us from the brink of destruction and bring us Scudetto? Lol. Stop calling urself Milan fan, ure not.

      1. Redbird are not Elliot. Redbird must show the fans they are committed to building and SUSTAINING a wining team. They don’t get credit for last season. They did NOT won the team and can’t take credit for last year. So far they are failing IMO. M&M not signed, players linked and scouted for 6 plus months gone – we have every right to criticize the new owner as thus far they have done nothing. Perhaps that will change but the early signs are not positive. From Botman and Bremer to Acerbi?? From 100M transfer kitty to 40M?? So for those that claim we are not Milan fans because we are critical of Milan – you are all sheep and IMO are not true fans at all. Do Real Madrid fans sit back and say “well we won last season” so it’s ok if we do nothing this season?? LOL. I think not. We have and should expect greatness from one of the most storied clubs in the world. The only way to do that is to hold the owners accountable. Being to scared to criticize makes you a sheep and as the say sheep get slaughtered.

  2. Just because you know nothing about any player outside of a few big teams doesn’t mean that there aren’t many excellent ones out there. You may be completely ignorant, thankful the professionals who make the decisions are not.
Tell me what you knew of Pierre Kalulu before Milan signed him, I’ll answer for you, nothing. But Gakpo, really? Milan unfortunately is not going to sign him because every big team in England is after him. And if you’d ever watch a PSV game you would know why. He is in way more demand than any of the players you listed. I am embarrassed for you, please stop posting about things you are clueless about.

    1. Im Dutch and Gakpo is really really not ready for Milan, he is like Saelemakers level now. DONT BUY! Go for Lang then, Rebic is the same level as Gakpo now, I mean sometimes he has good games but in the Dutch team he looks total lost, I take Ziyech as a benchmark here in Holland, he played here until he was 25/26 I think and then went to Chelsea, and then we talk about Ziyech who was by far the best player in Holland imo and showed it 2 seasons in CL against top sides. No please don’t buy Gakpo

      1. Tell me your not Dutch right? Gakpo has 12 goals and 13 assist only in eredivisie . I want him but it’s too hard to strike a deal if maybe they want as a counterpart rebic or salamaekers but I doubt it he’s good also he can play as a striker

        1. Mate its easy to score in our League, a guy who had scored like 10 goals in 3 years came to our league and he was topscorer last season with a relegation side, that’s the level of the Dutch league now, he needs to show it in Europe and National team before I want Milan to buy him

  3. I guess now we are moving to plan c. Surely players in our plan a are better than any alternatives we are looking at, except we want to beating around the bush. Elliott, Redbird, are really messing up, especially d former. Do they want to leave Milan at a disadvantage bcos they are looking at each other as to who is to spend. Now, we are hearing names like Acerbi, no disrespect. Did they need to bring up the takeover issue now. Our transfer is stalled, while others are buying. Next season shld be about retaining d league, and doing well in the champions league. We need quality players for that, n also to have a formidable team for the future. If a big name like Milan cannot spend €30m to get a quality player, then they should start thinking about other businesses. Are we the only one in football, that every season we spend so much time battling the same issue. Fans are really tired of all this
