AC Milan have held a meeting with the father of young Vicenza striker Tommaso Mancini ahead of a possible move, a report claims.
As has been reported Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri are one of many clubs that want to sign 17-year-old forward Mancini.
He will be turning 18 years old towards the end of July and Milan would like to add him to the Primavera ranks and see how he develops. He made nine senior appearances for Vicenza last season but did not manage to find the net.
It will be a tough battle to bring him to Ignazio Abate’s side because a number of clubs across Italy are in the hunt for him.
Not only that, there is some interest from abroad too from teams such as Benfica in Portugal and Sevilla in Spain.
There is not yet any clear inclination as to which team he would like to join.
The kid is 1.93 meter tall at the age of 17 and has already played 8 matches for the u19 national team so it would seem like he is well ahead of his own age bracket so if a deal can be striked at a fairly cheap price why not.
If Milan buys him, he MIGHT play a couple of matches in the first team but will be loaned out & sold eventually. Milan do not support young Italian strikers. They’re in fact the first to go. Paloschi, Petagna, Cutrone, Colombo etc.
colombo is for 1st team experience since he won’t get any this season either, the rest are bench warmers where they are now…you really think we would’ve won the title with said bench warmers instead of the forwards that got us there?
Cutrone was the only one who was given SOME kind of chance (altough had to get by with leftover minutes behind Higuain, A.Silva etc.).
None of them turned out to be inzaghis but the point is, it makes zero sense for young Italian strikers to come to Milan. IF they manage to get a fair chance, they’ll be sold the minute Milan gets an offer.

FFS it was it a decade ago when Petagna & Paloschi were Rossoneri so what has that got to do with last season’s scudetto? All I’m saying is that those two never had a chance to even show Milan what they can do. I’m not saying it was wrong to sell them but I’m saying they didn’t even get the chance. There is a difference if you can manage to digress that.
