MN: Meetings held between Milan and Bakayoko over impending exit

By Euan Burns -

Meetings took place on Monday afternoon between AC Milan and Tiemoue Bakayoko over his impending departure from the club, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News today, the highest level of interest in the French midfielder is coming from Serie A side Monza who are yet to get a point from their first three games this season.

Bakayoko arrived at Milan on loan from Chelsea last season and the loan runs for this season as well. He is very much outside of Stefano Pioli and AC Milan’s project right now though.

The club are working hard to find a solution where they can terminate the loan a year early and find a new club for him. Monza remain the clearest possibility but they are not the only club, with Olympique Lyonnais also being linked.

Bakayoko’s departure is likely to accelerate should Aster Vranckx sign for Milan from Wolfsburg.

  1. Forget Bakayoko, most of the time he is giving it away to the opposition, maybe has the talent but not confidence, regardless he is a financial and team liability, as to Diaz, not tall enough, nor physically dominating to be a 10, but with all the games we play I like to see him at at least the 60 minute mark to give the starters a rest, he has plenty of energy and at that point of the game runs circles around the opposition as does Salemaekers.
