CorSport: Milan’s mercato expected to spring back into life – the potential sales and signings

AC Milan’s work in the transfer window is far from done, but they still need sales in order to pursue some targets.

As Corriere dello Sport write, the strategy is now truly clear. Ruben Amorim has publicly confessed that next week he will inform the management of the players to be sold. The squad is too large to work effectively, and therefore a significant number of departures will be necessary.

Several players were under observation in today’s friendly against Chelsea, and that will continue for the final preseason game against Manchester United on August 15th. The prime suspect to leave is Pervis Estupiñán, but neither Yunus Musah nor Youssouf Fofana are guaranteed to stay.

Samuele Ricci will also have to earn a place, while David Odogu is not considered indispensable in defence and is being pursued by some clubs, even on loan. Milan are considering selling Fikayo Tomori, who is popular with Coventry City, Newcastle United and Juventus.

Galatasaray appear ready to raise their offer for Rafael Leao. Their initial bid of €30m plus €5m in bonuses has been rejected with €50m the asking price. A new offer of €40-45m is expected, while a €12-13m net salary is required.

Reinforcements targeted

Speaking of reinforcements, a rather sensational rumour has surfaced from Argentina: Milan are interested in Boca Juniors’ Leandro Paredes. The Rossoneri are working on an offer, but it remains to be seen whether the player is interested in returning to Europe.

In midfield, Paredes would slot in front of the defence and tactically he would be an ideal reinforcement. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is another experienced name that Amorim seems to be an admirer of.

Finally, there’s the idea of signing Dario Osorio. Amorim is particularly interested in the Chilean winger from Midtjylland because he could play on the right flank and cut in onto his left foot. Discussions are ongoing, and Midtjylland are asking for between €15-20m.

First of all, however, the sales need to be addressed. In a few days, we’ll know more about the futures of many players leaving AC Milan, who have meanwhile announced they’ve mutually terminated Ismaël Bennacer’s contract.

  1. Observation, evaluation, consideration, “Much ado about nothing.”
Bunch of horse s***, same old j**k, the truth and the harsh reality is the following- this club is doomed, there’s no hope for us at all…

    1. Respect for your passion and true words ! Half of the team is useless shіt ! In 1 month Xabi with Chelsea already built a team while Amorim is still continuing to evaluate the punks in the squad…

    2. agree with you bro, but the sh*ttest thing is that these players don’t have market and hard to sell or they don’t wanna be sold because of ‘Milan’ name even if they know they’re sh*tty.

  2. I don’t even know what u guys are doing concerning this market we don’t want to sign good players pls you guys spend on players God help this my team

  3. Why the f would we bring in a past it, crybaby, worthless loser like paredes???? That wouod be a complete embarrassment to the club and a clear sign we have no intention of being taken serious

  4. Let’s not forget that 90% of that Chelsea team would walk into the Milan team! There are a lot of just average players that WE ALL need to be sold. They broke the trend spending 75m for Ramos… Long may that continue!

Quick fire sale of Estupinian, Fofana, Jashari, Tomori, Pavlovic, Chuck, Salad, Terra, Odogu, Athekame= 190m (low valuation).

    In=Destiny 30, Bellanova 15, Camavinga 70, Scalvini 50, Dodo 15, Baschirotto 5. = 185m. Surely we’d be happy with this.

I know Camavinga is a HUGE ask, but these are the players I’d target, regardless of them saying yes or no.

  5. How can u spend 70million on Ramos
    Alegbegovic 35m
    Krate 30
    Uzun 30
    Zaniolo 20
    Chiesa 20
We should have fix the issue of play maker before strikers Ramos won’t be effective if we don’t have player to feed him
Man u offered Milan zirk zee and Rasford for loea and Milan Management are still sleeping on the deal and went and sign coach that cold not work with zirk zee and Rasford and now we are stock with leao now
We will later sell leao for 20mil cos we have made a mistake wen man city , PSG and Chelsea, bacelona came knocking Milan where so blind that leao will do what wonders ,if Madrid can sell Ronaldo why can Milan sell leao
