SM: Milan to sign right-sided duo permanently after securing €3.8m discount – the figures

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have managed to negotiate a discount on two buy-out options and are therefore set to turn two loan deals into permanent ones.

According to the information from our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Junior Messias will soon be bought permanently by Milan who will pay less than the €5.5m previously agreed in the negotiations with Crotone last summer.

The Brazilian had a positive season overall, shrugging off some initial physical problems to score 6 goals in all competitions, but the Rossoneri have been able to get a discount and they will pay €3.5m to sign the 31-year-old outright.

It is a substantial cut that matches the one obtained for Alessandro Florenzi too as the Rossoneri will pay €2.7m to Roma instead of the €4.5m previously agreed as part of the loan last summer.

Both Florenzi and Messias therefore are getting ready to rejoin the rest of the squad for preseason ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

  1. Dumb move. When the fk are we gonna sign a good winger, we have money and a inter with financial issues get Dybala Asslani who we miss out and possibly Lukaku. And what have we done, nothing, only Origi. We need to do the contracts from Leao Bennacer etc etc. Wake up! Give Leao his 7.5M or what he wants with his Vlahovic salary, idiot Leao, Vlahovic have outscored him in half a season at Fiorentina… wake up Leao, you are still not worth those 7M, he only played good for half a season

    1. Years, you’re smarter than the entire management that failed to sign any player in January but Lazetic yet the team still won the scudetto.

You don’t know anything about how a football club is run. You’re just an emotional fan. This is not PlayStation. This is real life. People invest money. It’s a business. Milan will make the right call. Transfer has not even opened officially.

      1. “Transfer has not even opened officially.”

There’s something that most people have seemed to have forgotten already. =)

    2. We are champions of Italy with these players. Why change them with washed-up overpaid players that could disrupt the harmony in the dressing room?

  2. sempremilan is always on here complaining about how we didn’t sign Mbappe and Haaland and how Leao hasn’t been renewed yet. Aside from it only being only June 15 and European players being on international duty, the clubs is in the midst of a takeover. If you’re selling your house and it’s under contract (not closed) do you then decide to remodel the kitchen? Likewise, if you’re the buyer, do you remodel the kitchen before all the paperwork was signed? People think some crazy stuff.

    1. Exactly. Being good in the transfer window isn’t just about big headline signings, you have to shape the team overall and make reinforcements across the board so that you have a good, deep, complete squad. We just signed two players who helped us quite a lot last season for very cheap, and it’s not even July. What’s he complaining about?

  3. That settled. We move on to d next one- one step at a time. I guess we can get most of our transfer targets. Good job so far.

  4. In my opinion, all the alarms regarding who is to be signed or not is in the know of Maldini and Ricky. Milan is a great club in transition to greatness again. Simply because we want good signing shouldn’t mean lavishing big pay on players coming for higher pay demand. No doubt Leao is good, but he has to be reasonable in his demand. By the time we have a balanced team, he wont be overworked because of the presence of other players in the needed positions. We don’t want a team build around just one player. I believe all players are replaceable but gradual.
