CM: Milan miss out on signing of Monaco man Maldini considers to be the next Camavinga

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have missed out on the possible signing of Monaco midfielder Mamadou Coulibaly on a free transfer, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, Coulibaly will not move to Serie A in the summer, despite the strong interest from Milan. The teenage midfielder – who played at Sevran, Villepinte and Epinay before joining the Monaco youth academy at the end of July 2019 – has decided to renew his contract with them.

Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara tried concretely to convince the player who they consider to be the next Camavinga, but Coulibaly – while flattered by the interest of such a prestigious club – preferred to continue his path in France where he knows he will get minutes to develop.

Milan remain very attentive to the young prospects in Ligue 1, and will not have the opportunity to sign him in the summer but will continue to monitor his growth ahead of a possible future move.
